I'm considering aftermarket skid plates. I know I'm going to get some, but unsure who's I should go with. They will have to work with an ADD stealth bumper. I'd like to cover as many vital parts as possible. Anyone have any their self? Any recommendations? Appreciate the input.

No, the only ADD skid I have is the one made into the bumper. I'd like something that goes all the way back and covers the fuel tank. I know ADD and SDHQ make these skid plates. SDHQ prices are not listed online. I'm wondering which manufacture I should go with between those and/or any others?

Take a look at BigJ's write-up on the skids he got from Hefty Fab Works. I think treypal has some of them as well. You will have to search for them as I don't have any links handy.

RaptorWifey out did herself again this year for my birthday. When I got home today, I could barely make it through the door. Blocking the front porch was two very large boxes. Almost too heavy to move on my own.

I have my weekend cut out for me trying to get the Hefty Fab Works skid plates installed before TRR. A special thanks to Kirk from RaptorAddict for getting these shipped out two weeks sooner than what Hefty originally estimated.

I got the engine skid, the transfer case skid and the gas tank skid all in aluminum. Note that the gas tank skid is a combination of steel framing and aluminum.

The skid plates are very large and seem like they will have good coverage. The egg carton gives you an idea of the scale.

Here is the transfer and engine skid plates. BigJ has the steel skids. See his install here.

As you can see the replacement gas tank skid is much more stout than the plastic stock skid. It didn't come with any hardware, so I'm assuming that it reuses the stock hardware.

The skids look to be very well built and the aluminum is at least 1/4" thick. I'll measure them and weigh them before I install.

Keep posted for install photos to come this weekend.

Fantastic! I wish I had the cash laying around that would cover a skid plate set.

But I'd much prefer doing them in all steel. On these trucks at their weight, going with steel skidplates instead of aluminum seems to be a much better solution IMO.
