Advantages and Disadvantages to Coating Fender Wells in Line-X?

I believe I understand the advantages of coating the rear fender liners in Line-X. It enhances the aesthetics of the vehicle and provides protection from debris. Are there any disadvantages to the Line-X coating? Does dirt accumulate on the surface due to its rough texture? Is installation overspray a common issue? I'm looking for any feedback you could provide.

I had mine done recently and love the look. They seem to wash clean easier but I only did that once so far so I'm not speaking from much experience.

Last longer, look better, don't really see any downsides. Mud can get stuck in the Line-X texture but not very badly. Comes out fairly descent.

aesthetics. the protection is just a bonus. it just makes the rear wells match the front better.

As opposed to stock

zero down side. i went with premium so it's slicker than the regular, stays shiny like brand new, dirt doesnt like to stick to it. hoses off easily and looks 1000xs better than stock.

I had my rear wheel wells coated with Line-X several years ago. All pluses, no minuses.

mine are 2 years old, still look like new. pressure wash em after heavy off roading, other than that I leave em alone.

I just called local Line-X shop. Gave me a quote to do both rear wheel ($150) and all four fender flares with platinum for $350, total $500.

Seems reasonable?
