Has anyone here tried to wrap any of the dash trim (around the nav screen and shifter) themselves? Are there any cons to using vinyl to do this? Should I see about hydrodipping?

I was kinda thinking I'd dry doing a brown/tan (like FDE) and black, but I've never really wrapped anything in vinyl...

Any input would be appreciated!

Not overly hard. Would need some basic tools. Heat gun, xacto knife, squeegees. Few people have wrapped their dash panels. Only advice I can give is make sure you have some patience as it can get frustrating. There's a lot of videos on YouTube that can give you the basics for laying vinyl

I have the vinyl and wrapped the piece on left of steering wheel. Pretty straight forward, was a pain in the corner and doesn't quite stick perfectly there. I have since bought some 3M primer to redo it and finish my dash.....just finding other projects to do, lol.

I was thinking about this as well. But we have a local guy that does Hydro Dipping and the results look awesome so I need to compare pricing.

Yeah I have a friend that hydro dips but my worry is that it will wear over time, where as vinyl will not (as bad) little more work also but we will see .

For what it's worth I had my shotgun hydrodipped, it's been on it's 3rd season and not content with how it's held up. I'm not rough on my guns either.

On the other hand interior parts should hold up a little better. I'd do vinyl IMO.
