I am looking to mount my iPad Pro in the truck. I have seen numerous ideas and options, including modifying the Lawrence GPS bracket.

Any ideas on what has worked and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

NOTE: I do NOT want the iPad mounted permintely in the truck. The easier to get in and out the better

I ordered an alpha1 lowrance mount today from outlaw, I'm going to mount a case onto it with some low profile bolts.

I saw this last night and about smacked myself in the head for not thinking about doing it on my own.

I saw that too. That is actually what got me thinking. My question is what if my $1k iPad falls out of the case and ***** all over my truck? I just wonder how secure this option is? I know my Speck case is a tight fit, ut I am curious s to the strength

Until I get offroad with it a few times I'll definitely be weary about it also, but I think it will be better than my current mount for sure.

I have a plastic case on my ipad now just like the photo above and it's a very tight/secure fit that I trust-- Only time will tell if even the low profile screws change that or not. I'm optimistic though and for $90 shipped it seemed like a worthwhile gamble

I mounted a Ram Mount ball to the package tray,Reinforced it and using using a Ram 6' bar.
Mounted the end of the bar to back of an otter case for the IPAD mini.
Seems pretty stout and have tested it on road but not off road .
I don't have pictures,But if you like the idea,I will post some.

I know it is busy, but it works for me.
Anyway, I use the RamMount seat mount setup with the extended pole and the IPad Pro ball mount. it holds up and is very sturdy.

Thanks guys. I got a cheap mount just to see how the iPad Pro would fit and work in the truck. Wow the iPad Pro is way big, I think the seat mount setup my be my best option

Just curious if it would interfere with a passenger?

Might actually just get an iPad mini for the truck
