Headlights and 4wd knob lights

One thing that bugs me on my truck is that the knob for headlights does not light up completely at night. You can see that the icons around the knob light up, but not the white line on the knob itself. I know this sounds dumb, but sometimes at night, it's difficult to tell if my headlights are on or not. Especially if there's a lot of street lights around.

Same thing with the 4wd knob. 2H, 4H, and 4L light up but not the white line on the knob. Do these actually light up on anyone's truck? Can it me modified?

If your high beam indicator on the dashes is on so are your lights

My Hi beam indicator only lights up when my Hi beams are on. Just tested it right now.

Just tape of the white mark, apply a couple coats, and it should glow a nice blue that comes close to matching the factory lighting.
