I did this on the F150 today and plan to do the raptor soon. It has a probe in the AC duct above it. It also checks voltage. The two bumps are the buttons to change screens. I also did a 2 amp usb port for quick cell phone charging and changed out the factory 12v outlet for a better quality one.

The space was dead space before so it looks clean and has a function.

I'm putting a Proclip mount in that cubby hole to hold a Nexus 7 running Dashcommand. But I like your idea a lot.

Can you explain what that is and what it does ? Tim

It reads OBDII data from the car and displays it on the Nexus screen. There is a ton of data from all the car's sensors that can be displayed, including rpm, hp, torque, temperatures, gas flow, etc. You can customize the display a million different ways to display data that is of interest to you.

OBD stands for On Board Diagnostics.

Thanks for the info. I have seen dash command as it is one of the apps in my pioneer app radio . I just never know what it was. I am going to get with my stereo guy and see what it takes to get that going on my phone and pioneer radio. Tim

Zboater, I see the pro-clip mount, what device holder are you using?

I bought the tablet holder for the Nexus 7. I am using the mount that goes in the unused cubby hole on the right. It seemed like the are with the most room to hold a tablet comfortably.
