As you are one of the people that deliver the viper system
And tent to know a lot about the electonic workings of the Raptor

Can you tell me : is it possible to drive the truck when starting it remotely
Or do you still need to key?

With the viper system you have the option as well of remote starting
Is this diffrent or workin on the same principle

And if not
Are there any ways you actualy can make it happen ??

I'm sure he'll chime in soon, but every remote start I've seen (and we have a lot in Alaska too) have always required the key, due to the steering locking mechanism. We have Vipers in most of our work cars and they're the same also. There may be a way to do it, but I'm sure it would require a lot of mods and removing many of the anti-theft features.

Need the key. Most are setup that if hit the brake pedal before inserting key it shuts the car off. So u can't even get in gear with out the key. Its to keep the car from being stolen while remotely started

hell, im still catching up sorry. i was on a trip over the weekend.

you need the key to drive after remote starting. the system detects the foot brake and if there is no key, the the engine will shut of as soon as you try to shift out of park. there is also a keysense wire that the alarm sends power to, until the oem key is inserted.

Aren't our keys laser chipped?

I wouldn't trust RFID. Too easy to get a scanner and steal your stuff.
