I met up with Jeff (vanilla gorilla) today and headed up to the Sierras. My brother was the odd man out with his Jeep Liberty. It definitely was a great time... a lot of stunning scenery. The trails were mild but also very narrow in spots, with shear drop offs on the downhill side. It was like an episode of IRT Deadliest Roads. There were a couple of times where we had to negotiate some pretty sketchy passes with people heading in the opposite direction. Unfortunately, the tight quarters resulted in a damaged bed corner and taillight for Jeff. I feel really bad for him... not how he wanted to break in a brand new truck. Here are a few pics of the better moments.

Nice pics Iceman!
I know what you mean about sheer drop offs - they can certainly make for some tense moments but the rush afterwards is addictive.

That's awesome iceman, looks like a very cool place!

Yeah, those shear drops really wake up the senses.

Phsssssh...3 tons...lol! We both made it over, separately that is. It was sketchy though, the suspension bridge was moving and creaking as we inched across.
