Just a reminder, and some added information on the event (If you haven't seen it somewhere else)

New Ford Raptor Nationals Event in Arizona for Two-Day 270-Mile Adventure
Mesa, AZ – Camp Verde, AZ – Williams, AZ - May 16-19, 2013

The first annual Raptor Nationals in Arizona presented by Roush Off-Road starts in a few short days and there are still a limited number of spaces available to join the desert adventure. Ford Raptor owners are joining together from around the country to explore the Spring colors in Arizona May 16-19th starting with a optional Driving School, a kickoff street party and open house at Addictive Desert Designs, two full days of trails on Saturday and Sunday, and ending with a BBQ at KC HiLites facility on Sunday May 19th. “This is the perfect opportunity to bring your Raptor on amazing Arizona trails that won’t tear up your truck,” said Jason Cobb, Raptor Nationals Event Promoter. “We will take you on an adventure through Arizona to places few have traveled, and then drive home with the same Raptor you started with and many great memories and pictures!”

Fast fire roads, twisty tight mountain roads, high desert roads lined with pinion trees, red sands of Sedona’s red rocks, white sand wash roads and some really fun pavement sections are to be expected on this adventure. The Arizona warm spring is already in bloom so you can expect to see beautiful wild flowers, cactuses and many animals native to the Arizona desert. This is not a race, participants will be given a tour book at the drivers meeting on Saturday morning and there is a GPS download available for those who would like it. There will be a pace truck in the front and support trucks in the rear to ensure that everyone makes the full course safely. We will keep a moderate pace to ensure your enjoyment, but we must observe all posted speed limits when on graded dirt roads. Stock Raptors are encouraged to join.

The two-day, 270 mile trip kicks off at Addictive Desert Designs in Mesa, AZ on Friday night from 4pm-11pm at their street party open house. Saturday morning the event will leave from ADD after an 8am drivers meeting to Camp Verde, AZ for the night at Cliff Castle Casino. Sunday’s adventure will start with a 9am drivers meeting and end with a BBQ in Williams, AZ at KC HiLites facility starting around 3pm. The cost is only $100 for the first person in a vehicle and $50 for each additional person in the same vehicle. This is a family friendly event; children 10 and under are free. Registration fee includes Sunday afternoon BBQ, event t-shirt, guided off road tour, manufacturers midway and more. You are responsible for your room at the Cliff Castle Casino in Camp Verde on Saturday night and any subsequent travel plans.

For more information and to sign up for the Raptor Nationals, please go to Five2 Productions website: Five 2 Productions or contact Jason Cobb directly at [email protected]

We would like to thank all the sponsors supporting this event including Roush Off-Road, AIRAID Performance Filters, KC HiLites, Addictive Desert Designs ADD, Vegas Off-Road Experience VORE and Sanderson Ford.

You can still Register to Run with us this weekend!! please go to Five 2 Productions or contact Jason Cobb directly at [email protected] or 623-570-0474

Last weekend we ran the entire course and with some changes, the total miles (total of both days) is almost 320! It is a great trail with a wide variety of terrain. The top half (after Sedona) is quite a bit slower than the bottom half with some rocky sections and lots of cross ruts and holes. It took us 6 hours to do the first half which was a total 196.8 miles to the casino. From the casino to Williams took us 4 hours but is only 122.7 miles.

Dust will be an issue especially on Sunday but there has already been a few afternoon showers in the region so fingers crossed or maybe we should pray for wind. The temperature was in the mid 70's up in the mountains but in the 90's in the morning in the deserts so prepare for anything. The coolest temperature we saw was 49 degrees in Williams, shortly after the sun went down so a light jacket is not a bad idea.

If you have not secured your hotel rooms in Camp Verde already please contact me. We have sold out our block of rooms at the casino and we have a second hotel just a mile or so away set up but they will not hold our rooms much longer. If you need rooms in the Phoenix area for Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, we are suggesting the Talking Stick Casino and Resort in Scottsdale. We do not have a group rate but it is a great place, lots of fun and pretty close to Addictive Desert Designs.

Below are some pictures from the weekend!

Worst case, be sure to come out and visit on Friday night at Addictive Desert Designs open house and grand opening of their new building. Contact Us
