Judging from the photos, that Ford box appears to be plastic and does not have a locking top. For those of us who have things in a our trucks that we don't want the kids messing with and that we don't want to have stolen, it's a non-starter.

The one I saw in a 2017 F250 had a lock on top of it... but yes it's plastic

I love that factory collapsible option! But it definitely is pricey. Don't know if I could justify that cost. Hopefully aftermarket will come up with a similar solution at a more reasonable price.

I have one in my 2014 , love it and would never be with out it . Unless the burglar has a steel saw or carries around a full array of tools aint no one breaking into it in a few minutes . It has plenty of storage for a purse , laptop bag and a couple guns and other stuff all at once . For those that say they don't want to loose floor space how often do you put your seats up and put anything in that area ? and If you have the Sony sub your already loosing that space on the passenger side .

Bottom line is it is worth the money and you can forget about worrying if you leave valuables in your car in a movie parking lot , theme park or hotel .

Oh before I forget if you have a kicker sub speaker this box wont fit , only fits with Sony Sub or no sub .
Despite my earlier post regarding loosing floor space I ordered one last week and just got it today. It does make a ton of sense to store stuff in it versus stuffing shit under the rear seats. Tuffy make a quality product.

Glad it worked out for you . I still use mine to the fullest . For the people that are worried about theft it is all metal and 2 locks on the lid . Option to have it quick disconnect or you can also thru bolt it as I did .

I had one in my 2012 SCrew F150 and just swapped it over to the Raptor. I love mine. Gives me a piece of mind for my truck gun to be locked up. Mine has the factory Sony sub so mine doesn't go all the way across its probably only good for a AR long gun.
