Just bought a 2018 Raptor yesterday after owning 5 Super Duty pickups.
What I'm looking for is detailed info on the Raptor. I want to know more info on what is different between the Raptor 3.5L and the pickup 3.5L. Any transmission differences? The transfer case...is the "4A" function the same as it would be on a Lariat F-150? I realize the 4H and 4L modes physically lock (kind of like the transfer case in an XL or XLT F-150 which don't have the 4A mode). Anything beyond that? Is the low ratio the same 2.64:1 as an F-150?
I'd like info on the frame differences. I understand the Raptor has a unique frame. Is it essentially an F-150 frame with some thicker sections?
I've read the rear axle on the Raptor is 35 spline whereas on the F-150 it is not. Are the axles physically wider? Is the front diff / axle the same?
How many amps is the alternator? 220A like an F-150?
Thanks in advance
