up fitter light install 2017 Gen2

Have not done any lighting cannot find any how to videos on the 2017 wiring harness. Just want to install a light bar on bumper. The owners manual says the 15 amp is the highest amperage most light bars are pulling 20-25 amp do you just simply change the fuse ? And does anyone have the steps to do the light bar wiring? I know this is pretty basic stuff I just have not yet did one any help is appreciated, taube2013

Dont burn down your truck...if you cant figure it out yourself pay someone that knows how to do it.

Relays, in line fuses, yadda yadda

Haha holy shit man don't go swapping fuses for higher amperage ones. That's how your truck burns down.

Thank you ADD so if a ridged 40 inch light bar is pulling 20amps you cannot use because you would be blowing fuses correct?

I am going to say that from your questions, it appears to me that you are in over your head on this deal. I would suggest finding someone who knows what they are doing to do this.

The answer my friend is not blowing in the wind.

You will need a hot wire going to the battery with an appropriate gauge and in-line fuse. I'd spec for 25-30 amps and go 10 gauge. Why? Because you can.
That hot wire will need an in line fuse. It'll power the incoming hot leg of a relay rated for 30 amps. You'll wire the outgoing 30 amp hot leg to the lights. You'll ground the lights to the frame. You'll wire the control hot and negative wires of the relay, one to the battery negative post and one to the hot leg of the upfitter switch.

If you don't know what I'm jabbering about... stop now and go to a reputable shop.
