Will be done this afternoon. Cost out of my pocket $460 including labor to R&R PPE pan and refill with fluid. Bill to warranty was almost $10k.

New trans authorized by warranty company. 1-2 days out and then install. It’s been two weeks. I’m ready to have my truck back.

OEM says start at 5 qts, my pan holds 1.75 more. Start there. I know mine is about 7.25 with a drain and fill so I start at 7.

just make sure you cover it with the skid plate :p It is pretty though.

Drain plug is $300 and a half day of work.

If you have a Ford scanner I think.

It’s not fluid expansion, something about a cooler valve opening and changing the fluid level

Updated yesterday, claim is going to the big bosses at the warranty company. My advisor is awesome and isn’t budging, but did price haggle a little. Almost 10k for a new trans.

Power brake it in the garage for about 5 mins, it'll get that hot. might get some dirty looks from the neighbors.

I wouldn’t mind paying the difference and then I will promptly look into a prorated refund for the remaining mileage on the warranty to make up the difference. I should’ve just gone with Ford ESP

Dealer is recommending new trans, I believe they pulled the pan and valve body per TSB and it didn’t fix it, which I was 95% sure would be the case. Just waiting to hear from warranty company and he said he will fight them. Does anyone know if we get a new OEM trans if the CDF part has been...

Attempted to do the drive cycle. After clearing adaptive learning, wouldn’t shift into 2nd, went into 7th and back to 1st, code P076F, 7th gear ratio mismatch. Guess it’s time to call the dealer.

Thanks @FordTechOne , I literally just finished another (third and final) drain and fill, in attempt to remove the 80k mile fluid thats been in there. Fluid was dead nuts in the center of the B zone, at 207F verified by Cobb AP. Going to reset learning, try the drive cycle, and report back. I...
