Hey Fellas,
I have almost 2 years and 31,000 miles on my first set of stock tires on my 2011 6.2 Raptor. My tires are finally starting to "jiggle" or vibrate the steering wheel, time to get a new set of tires.
I want something with a more aggressive tread pattern and wider than the OEM tires...
Hey,
I found a few videos on youtube like this:
nitto mud grapplers howl - YouTube
Those are some loud tires at speed!
I've got an electric cutout on my Raptor, but I've grown used to it... I like it loud and I am really no longer self conscious of it... sometimes I have to check...
Hi All,
We've all seen the very cool light strips that need to be hard wired in and others have gone to a local sign shop and gotten some scrap pieces of vinyl...
I'm sorry I don't have pictures... no point, I'm sure you've got an adequate imagination...
But, here's what I just did...
I want to get some DVD screens in the rear head rest for my kids... where does the dvd player go?
Is it a headliner unit? Or do you swap out the CD player in the console for a DVD player?
Hey Fellas,
I might be having an off day, but I used the search button and can't find the thread now...
There was a thread about 2011 Raptors having some kind of faulty drive shaft...
My 2011 SCREW was built March 2011, purchased April 2011... looking on the drive shaft, it has a couple...
I haven't poked and prodded around the gas tank opening yet... but how does a "capless" opening like that work?
You try pushing the metal flap with your finger and it doesn't move/open, but you can use a gas nozzel or the adapter they give you to use a portable can... what's the magic trick?
Who does a body lift? Can/Will the Ford Dealership do it?
Isn't a body lift just a bunch of "pucks" or "spacers"... IIRC, like maybe 12-16 total?
What's a body lift going to cost for the kit and any online sources to buy from? I can't find one for a 2011 F150 body lift.
Maybe just...
I was talking to my BIL the other day and saying how I wanted to Line-X my bed and wheel wells... then he told me that some folks will use the spray can Teflon Dry Lube to spray their wheel wells and then after mudding around, a simply spray with a water hose all the mud/debris falls off a lot...
Back when I had a new 2008 Z06, on a car that goes nearly 200mph, it was recommended by the guys on the corvetteforum.com to check your lug nuts...
Specifically, they stated that the lug nuts were to be torqued down to 70 ft. lbs. from the factory... so I bought a torque wrench and checked...
This stuff is cool:
http://www.metrorestyling.com/3M-DI-NOC-CARBON-FIBER-VINYL-CA-421-p/dinoc421.htm]3M BLACK DI-NOC CARBON FIBER VINYL CA-421
Its carbon fiber vinyl wrap... wish I had an installer close to me, nothing within 300 miles :( I'd like to have the door handles, mirror trim, and...
Anybody running a radio in their Raptor?
I'd like to have a radio for SHTF (assuming said SHTF doesn't involve any EMP's)...
For a CB (I could be wrong), I don't think you need an FCC license... but with a HAM radio, I know that you absolutely do need one...
So, who has a radio...
Holy Mother of Batman!
This MF is one bad ass ride now! With the name of RAPTOR, the cutout makes this beast sound like it should have come this way from the factory!
The sound is Waaaaay Cooler than my Z06 with two cutouts!
I find myself driving in manual mode now to keep the revs up...
I've had K&N filters on my Z06, BMW M6, and Porsche 911 before...
But this is the FIRST time I've ever experienced these kind of gains from JUST an air filter/box swap.
The increased sound was great! I never got that much more sound on my other vehicles just from new air...
Just...
Hi All,
I have a DMH electric cutout, and Hennessey Performance sent me their "control module" to allow me to use it with one of the AUX switches.... unfortunatley (even thought I told Hennessey I was using a DMH cutout), they sent me a Quick-Time-Performance control module and the two are...
Are the AUX switches in the Superduty 250 compatible with the Raptor? i.e., are they the same size?
I talked to a tech at DMH Performance about the electrical cutout question using the AUX switches on the Raptor... he said he heard that some guys have used the switches from the Superduty...
By accident that is...
I was filling up at a local mom-n-pop station that had ethanol-free 93... $4.199 a gallon.
Well, the pump took FOREVER and a day to fill it up... it was going really slow for some reason, checked it at 10 gallons and $41.99 was correct...
So I continued filling...
For $249, this is about all I'm looking for... just a lot more horn decibles than the stock horn.
I'd like for my local city to hear me, but not the next county over... hahaha.
YouTube - Horn blasters jackass kit!‏
How does a kit like this work? What is used for the horn...
I was trying to think of what accessories I might use the AUX switches for...
I wanted to use one for a DMH cutout, but still trying to figure out if the switch would work or not... in my other thread, it was suggested to use 1 switch to open the valve and then use a 2nd switch to close it...
Its been a few years since I sold my Z06... but I had dual DMH cutouts and their switch (small round plastic button).
Does the switch toggle, like pushing up you open the valve and pushing down you close the valve?
Say you open the valve half way open, can you then close it, or does it...
Has anybody considered installing extra LED's behind the front grill?
When I look closely, the 3 stock LED's are placed in oval shaped cutouts which the lights reside in... opposed to the rest of the holes which are rectangular.
So, I know that the stock LED's wouldn't fit perfectly, but I...
